I've been waiting years to let some of my most enter feelings out through words and song. Now the time has arrived with my sophmore CD "Speak EZ N2 The Blu".
Poetry has always been a release for me since I was a child. Domestic Violence and alcohol were road blocks that I navigated around during my childhood.
My poetry has comforted me through childhood, the military, divorce, and work.
What makes this special is that my words have been so powerful that it has caused some enemies to attempt to use the very thing that has sustained me against me.
A few months ago an investigative unit at my place of employment used my first project " Reflections of a Blackman's Mind" to stop me from advancing to a promotional position.
This project was done 14 year ago and seemed to become very relevant in the case of me being promoted to an executive position.
This CD project is very important to me and will be extended due to this experience.
It is shameful that injustice, hate, and fear dominates our lives.
But you can rest assured that my words and passion will not faulter.

Soul Music Singer Vinx came to Lafeyette College last month. He gave a great performance to a intimate crowd. In My Father House was the first CD I heard and fell in love with the content and quality of the music.

CNN Being Black IN AMERICA
CNN special on Black in America was a thoughtful attempt to help America get a better understanding of Blacks in America. I thought it was good but feel short of dealing with our many issues. Dr. Eric Dyson story about his brother condition and his road to sucess was compelling. But, this is a phenomina that happens in many African American homes. The segments of evictions were not only disturbing but seemed to try hard to drive home a message on how hard proverty is. The sucess and failure of the Arkansas 9 showed that education alone does not dictate your outcome. You had sucessful business owners and a bank robber turned pastor. I aplaud CNN for their efforts but to bring this series full circle I believe we should hold this forum across the country in towns, cities, schools, and in city council halls. Challenge your politician to listen to you and carry out your issues.
And The NEW President of The United States is Barack Obama !!!!!!!!!!!
I am so proud to see that this country has the heart to elect the first African American to the Presidency.
It may not erase the history of hate but it has calmed it hearts of the of many by making history. This should be a call to many to guide their children toward greatness by pushing them toward education and college.
I will ask God to bless to souls who voted for change.
